These particular paintings were made by the Suh Kwang brand during the war years and were hand painted and sold on the streets of Saigon. This one was clearly brought home by a soldier and is adorned with small pins and uniform decorations. Velvet is stretched on a think piece of plywood. Shows a few signs of wear but to me, it only ads to the great patina and flavor of the image. If you look up the brand, it seems that depictions of the large-eyed women are more rare than those of soldiers or children. Measures 12.5"x18"
